Houston Hobby Shop News

For those of you who haven’t heard, Larry’s Hobbies at I45 and FM1960 has closed. However, Houston is getting a new hobby shop at the end of November. A HobbyTown USA is opening at 2392 Hwy 6 South. They are near the corner of Hwy 6 and Westheimer. It is an 18,000 sq.ft. store. Dave Brissard, who used to own the old Hobbies West in Memorial has been hired to manage their plastic models and books. The store will open on Friday, November 29 (Black Friday), but the official Grand Opening will be December 14.

On another note, if you have been looking for Tenax liquid cement and can’t find it, Papa Ben’s Train Store on Bellaire at Wesleyan has a good supply in stock. While there are other similar products on the market, if you have to have Tenax, get it while you can, as it is not being produced any more.
