Results of 2022 HAMS Model Car Contest

July 16, 2022 at 3:00 pm | Blog | No comment

On July 9th we held our annual Model Car Contest & Show. Thirtyseven entrants came from all over Texas & Louisiana to enter 223 models in the contest. In addition, there were 3 “display only” models present.

One note about the award presentation. The Miscellaneous winners were announced as the Armored Car category and vice versa. The categories were on the same table and the judges reversed the scoring sheets. Not a problem with the trophies handed out as they do not carry the category on them. July 3, 2022 at 4:35 am | Blog | No comment

Our annual Model Car Show is coming up on Saturday July 9 at the Cypress Creek Christian Community Center Forum. Because of that, we will not have a normal meeting of the Mendenhall Center on the 8th. Instead we will be setting-up tables & such at our show venue from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. In additon, the normally scheduled quarterly kit rafffle will be moved to the August meeting.

On Saturday, club members should be at the facility by 8:00 AM to help with vendor set-up. The general public will be allowed in at 9:30 AM.
