Trick for Sanding Tire Tread

Learned a trick the other day from an armor modeler that makes it much easier to sand rubber tires, either to remove the seam or just give the tires a worn look. Freeze the tires. Put them in your freezer over night and then sand them in the morning while still frozen. Freezing makes the rubber hard and easier to sand. I will definitely try this on my next model build.
